Typically, we help our passengers to visit the places where they would like to go. As an example, we provide a door to door service to take residents in Wendover to the shops in both Wendover and Aylesbury, as well as local facilities such as Garden Centres, like Dobies or Tring Garden Centre. We are able to assist with longer distance journeys, for example if residents of our area would like to travel to visit their family or go on holiday out of Buckinghamshire and it is difficult to them to use public transport. There is no limit on where we will travel and we always try to accommodate any enquiry; Don’t hesitate to contact us however unusual your request might be.
We can be the transport for an outing that you have planned, either locally and further afield. Call or email the bookings team and see when it is available.
We charge a fixed rate for each mile that the passenger wants to travel which at present is £1.20 per mile. As we are a charity, we are not profit making; all our income goes to the running cost of the service such as fuel and maintenance. We welcome donations to help us with our work and we receive support for the Wendover Parish Council and the Lionel Abel-Smith Charitable Trust. We have specific facilities to assist the less able. If you wish to make a donation to our work as a result of the service we have provided, it will go to assisting us in our work.
We are available Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm and by arrangement outside these times.
