The Wendover Action Group was founded in 1996 to provide help to local residents of Wendover and the surrounding villages with door to door transport for those people who have difficulty travelling.
We operate the 'Wendover Community Car'. Many of our passengers can't easily use public transport. They may have limited mobility, use walking frames or wheelchairs, or even just have difficulty with heavy bags. We are delighted to help.
We rely on the help of our volunteer drivers and would welcome applications to join our team. Please refer to our 'Drive for Us' page from the menu above.
At the end of 2016 we became one of the beneficiaries of a Department for Transport scheme to provide new vehicles for a number of community transport groups around the country. We are also very grateful to Wendover Parish Council and the Lionel Abel-Smith Trust for the financial help they have given to us over many years.
We are also delighted to have accepted an offer of sponsorship from a local firm of Solicitors - Stuart Fantham and Co. and will display their logo on the vehicle.
